During the first week of the Ottawa Tulip Festival, we took an evening stroll in downtown Ottawa.

The evening light cast a perfect shadow of this guardian angel.
This bronze sculpture “The Three Watchmen” by Haida artist James Hart is located at the corner of Sussex Drive and Saint Patrick Street, just outside the National Art Gallery.
The woman’s love of stars caught my eye. These people were relaxing in Major’s Hill Park. It is one of the most notable parks in downtown Ottawa. The park stands above the Rideau Canal at the point where it enters the Ottawa River. Across the canal to the west are the parliament buildings, to the north of the park is the National Gallery of Canada, and to the east are the United States embassy and the Byward Market. Unfortunately my shadow is also in this picture.
I love the expression on this little girls face. She certainly found something not to her liking.
It’s the playoffs and the pubs are full of Ottawa Senators fans. I took this picture of the people wearing the Senators’ jerseys but for me what makes this shot is the guy giving me a thumbs up. Gotta love those Senators fans.
I love the details and old world feel of this pub sign.
