The Mer Bleue bog is a wonderful place for photography during any season but especially in the fall. Last fall was a glorious display of autumn colours. One of the many trails through the bog is a boardwalk which surrounds a very large pond. The weather was beautiful the day of our visit and that means the boardwalk was full of families. I posted the pictures in the order that I shot them and you can see how drastically the light changed depending on which direction I was facing from one moment to the next. Shooting from the boardwalk can be challenging because you have no choice as to where you will shoot from. You can’t move closer or further away from your subject. But it also allows some interesting perspectives because you are in an artificially clear space surrounded by nature. The challenge is to make the best of the perspective available to you. Some of these images give the impression that they were taken waist deep in the reeds. But in reality, I was on my knees and elbows on a very dry boardwalk. Hope you enjoy this series and remember to click on the images to enlarge for better viewing.

Thanks Graham. Appreciate the comment.
Beautiful colors. I love the bridge. And how striking in black and white!
Thanks, sometimes b/w images work better than colour. Glad you like it.
I love how you can show how different perspectives of the same subject can be so completely different. Love the color and this series. Beautiful and makes me miss autumn already.
Me to. Thanks Bella.
Hard to pick a favorite from these photos….the tree-line reflection is awesome.
Thanks Kathy
